Prudhoe Youth Club U13sPrudhoe Youth Club U13s worked hard but came out second best against Walbottle Campus U13s in the NABC Division Five, losing 2-0.

Eager to be playing again after the Christmas break, both teams applied themselves admirably to the fierce windy conditions on an exposed pitch.

Prudhoe defended stoutly in the first period as Walbottle did their best to take advantage of the conditions and even had chances to score from Harry Hayward and Jeffrey Nickleson.

However it was the home side who opened the scoring to go into the interval with a narrow advantage. To their credit Walbottle continued to explore their attacking options in the second half and Prudhoe were tested on both flanks.

A second goal seemed to seal the visitors fate but Prudhoe continued to press forward and James Tolchard went close with a fine header in the final minutes.
