This is an approach that is clearly working well as pupils have been praised for their mature and considerate approach to life, as well as their highly-developed social skills, friendliness and good behaviour.

Deputy headteacher Andy Hudson said: "The school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice.

"It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith, and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers to all its pupils."

The pupils themselves are also keen to praise their school.

Representatives from Year 4 said: "The teachers are kind and lessons exciting. Our school is eco-friendly and we are waiting to find out if we are to become a Flagship school for the Food For Life project, which is very exciting.

"We are very proud of our new vegetable gardens, we are looking forward to eating the things we have grown soon.

"We also love the after-school clubs, they are great."

With committed and caring staff who value the children and promote inclusion while making the curriculum exciting, interesting and accessible for all, it's no wonder that the school is rated so highly by pupils and parents alike.
