Stephenson's cottage reproduced in miniature
Sculptor Phoebe Harvey Lee brought the North East's proud industrial heritage to life with a special unveiling of her latest piece, featuring the birthplace of the great railway engineer George Stephenson.

The limited-edition sculpture created for Lilliput Lane features Stephenson's modest 18th Century whitewashed stone cottage on the old Wylam Waggonway in the Tyne Valley, plus a replica of his 1825 steam engine Locomotion.
South Shields-born Phoebe, whose locally inspired pieces in the past have included sculptures of St Mary's Lighthouse in Whitley Bay, Durham Cathedral and Cragside House near Rothbury, officially launched her new sculpture at the Collectables store in the Metrocentre, where dedicated collectors gathered to have pieces personally signed by her.
She created her new limited-edition piece, called Stephenson's Cottage and The Locomotion, exclusively for Collectables stores in the North East and it retails at £39.95.
Sean Nee, Collectables store manager, said: "Collecting is as strong as it has ever been, and we have many dedicated collectors who came to the event to meet Phoebe and have their pieces signed.
"It means a lot to serious collectors to meet the person who has created so many wonderful local pieces."
